<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Verdana',sans-serif">If your district elects to opt-out of the FAMLI Program, your district Board <strong><u>must take action</u></strong> to notify the Division of Family Medical Leave Insurance (the "Division") <strong><u>before January 1, 2023</u></strong> to avoid automatic enrollment and premium payment obligation. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Verdana',sans-serif"> </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Verdana',sans-serif">If your district is automatically enrolled, the opportunity to opt-out in the future is not open-ended. The Local Government Opt-Out Rule specifies that the local government employer must remain in the FAMLI Program for at least 3 years. </span></p>
